CLIENT
Population Institute
This work was done at Radish Lab under the design direction of Becky Still & Joshua Burcham.
Population Institute is a non-profit organization that centers gender equality for women and girls, advocating for access to reproductive health services, and more through data and research.
This was a huge project broken into many parts, and I was lucky enough to have a hand in a lot of it. Simultaneously, the Radish team was busy covering website development, brand identity design (logo, verbals, graphic elements), and collateral design.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
Creative Direction is always a bit of a messy process, but that's what makes it fun! Here’s a small glimpse of our Figma file during the earlier stages of creative direction.

FINAL CREATIVE DIRECTION
After two rounds of review, we had a color palette, brand fonts, and some preliminary wireframes. Here’s where we landed:

USER INTERFACE DESIGN (UI)
While I moved onto UI, other team members took our final creative direction into brand identity development.
In this stage, I built out each and every block (and variation) that would be available on the website, and handed it over to our developers to start front-end development. Lots of variables, components, and coffee went into this stage.

FINISHING TOUCHES
After UI, we had a few rounds of intensive quality assurance to make sure the site was working perfectly for client hand-off. I also created a comprehensive visual design guide for the client to use when page building and content loading in WordPress. And to finish things off, I put together a brand guide which will act as a manual for any future Population Institute brand applications.
