Interventions: Amplify was the 2022 installation of Scout's annual design conference, offered as a hybrid experience with both in-person and online options. My responsibilities included creating the brand identity, website, print collateral, and merchandise for the event.
OUR GOAL
Interventions: Amplify aimed to highlight creatives, advocates, and organizations dedicated to uplifting marginalized groups and underrepresented voices through impactful design. The conference focused on pushing the boundaries of how design can shape information and using design as a tool to advocate for social change.
BUILDING THE BRAND
Every year, the Interventions brand evolves to fit the selected theme. For Interventions: Amplify, we needed a brand that stood out. We began with brand exercises, mood boards, and countless iterations until we found an identity that felt right. The brand utilized bright colors, bold shapes, black-and-white photography, and two-toned graphic elements.

THE WEBSITE
Our last task for the Fall semester was to design the Interventions: Amplify website. The design team worked tirelessly through low-fidelity wireframes, user testing, high-fidelity wireframes, and mobile breakpoints before handing the designs off to our developers. I primarily focused on designing the About & FAQ pages.
MBTA ADVERTISEMENT
One of the coolest opportunities I had during this project was designing an advertisement for the MBTA Orange Line – the train line I take every day. The design team created several versions, and I was fortunate enough to design one of them.
MERCHANDISE
We designed right up until the finish line. The team created all sorts of branded merchandise, including the T-shirts we wore on the day of the event. I focused on designing the tote bag and screen-printed posters. At the event, every attendee received a tote bag with branded goodies inside and had the chance to screenprint their own poster.
